450 seems a lot, but keyword spamming is more to do with repetition than quantity, i.e. using the same high value keyword over and over again.

Imagine reading a paragraph with the words best web designer, best web designs, best web design repeated lots of times - it wouldn't make good reading to a human and the Robots may consider that keyword spamming.

Hover over the bold text:

information regarding your comment

It's a lot of information but it's all relevant, so shouldn't hurt.

Thank you very much for this tip, I really agree to the fact that the key in having a great text link is to carefully know the code.

OH! When I used to use IE (some years ago now!) I always wondered what the point of the alt text popping up was. Then, changing to Firefox, I had to wonder why it wasn't popping up anymore! Turns out I'm not just crazy - IE is wrong! Thanks for clearing that up for me..

I've just spent a very frustrating half hour trying to submit my site (above) to DMOZ. There is no category covering pets, animals, petsitting, dog-walking, or anything similar in UK/Scotland/Stirling; when I try to submit it under that category alone I am told 'very few sites will be accepted for this' and that's as far as I can get.
I'm not an idiot, nor am I incapable of reading and understanding English, so if you would like to offer any advice I would appreciate it if you don't simply repeat the information you've already given me, with which I have no argument, by the way. What I'd like to know is if there's any way to breach the DMOZ ivory tower and ask them how I'm supposed to submit my site in the right category when they apparently won't let me.
Thank you for an otherwise extremely helpful tutorial.

"The required alt attribute specifies an alternate text for an image, if the image cannot be displayed.

The alt attribute provides alternative information for an image if a user for some reason cannot view it (because of slow connection, an error in the src attribute, or if the user uses a screen reader)."
